Liz Allison has been trackside for over twenty five years,
first as the wife of the late, Davey Allison, and later
a member of the sports media covering the NASCAR Sprint
Cup, Nationwide and the Camping World Truck Series.
Liz’s passion for the sport continues today as she
covers the sport of stock car racing through many facets
of the media.
Liz has covered NASCAR racing for TNT Sports and CNNSI
as a pit road reporter and feature reporter. She has appeared
on many national television and radio shows throughout her
career, including The Today Show, Fox and Friends, ABC 20/20
and CNN. She has hosted such television shows as Motoring
Music City on ESPN 2 and has served as race analyst for
CNN and ESPN’s Cold Pizza.
In addition to her TV and radio work, Liz has written thirteen
published books on the popular sport of NASCAR. Liz has
also served as a contributing author for Fox Sports.com,
Proctor and Gamble, AutoVantage, NASCAR.com, MSN.com and
various other publications.
In 2004, Liz joined the Nashville Super Speedway as announcer
and host for the speedways four major race events, making
her the first woman to serve the Nashville motorsports industry
in this capacity.
Currently Liz is a popular radio personality in Nashville
on 102.5 The Game. Her NASCAR insight and top notch guests
have made her NASCAR programming the #1 NASCAR show in Nashville.
Liz was awarded the “AIR Award” for Best Midday
Talk Show in 2007 for her role as host of the Drivers Zone
radio show.
Few women have covered the sport of auto racing at the
level in which Liz Allison has.
Liz’s knowledge of the sport and the relationships
with the people that make the sport, make her a rare find
in the motorsports media.
Liz is involved with many charitable organizations and
is an active public speaker for businesses, churches, schools
and organizations.
Liz lives in Nashville and is married to her husband, Ryan.
She has three children, Krista, Robbie and Bella.
